Thanks CD, although some of that was a little foggy but I think I get the idea. What was very clear was the great pictures of those pair of quad deuces hits on a game I've not played in the past. Eduardo, you lucky dog and congratulations! I should be so lucky to return home with an extra grand once in a while.
if oej719 is into black gold and the price of fuel goes up up up then he's set for life. Gotta love it.
On mr. falala, i've been reading some of the things said about him here and in a few other threads, which are really wild btw. I'm a practitioner of optimal play even though I only go to Nevada and play in local Indian casinos a total of about 12-15 times a year. I rely on good luck as much as good play, a little like Eduardo's hits. From what I've seen and discussed with falala he usually relies on luck and plays negative ev games well. To each their own I guess and whatever works. What I can contribute is his attacks here look sometimes nasty but he's not a devil per se (he had us and another local vp-interested couple over his house on a fridy night a few months ago) and he's definitly not broke. We played pool, cooked out, his wife was a gracious hostess and he explained how he stuffed a blower (i'm a car nut and love grudge nites at the track) into a v-10 dodge truck which sits right next to the corvette of my wild dreams. He even gave us a ride home because we had a little too much if you know what i mean.
My gripe around here is the ****ty games offered by the tribes. Tons of cash put into the new casinos and the worst games ever. Still few seats ever available. I'm going to try out that new Aria in city centre in a month and i'll bet even there pay tabls are better than the scalpers around here.

He's been caught on occasions too numerous to count here and elsewhere pretending to be one of his own satisfied clients and then referring interested parties to himself for books and personal training. That doesn't say much about his own personal success or his veracity. As I've written several times, it's no better than a job applicant falsifying references on a resume, or a contractor doing the same to land more business. When he was told by Gaming Today that he would have to begin substantiating his claims or leave, he did the latter.

cd, I can't speak to what he's done here and i understand the business world isn't on the upandup at any level. The clients part got my attention though. He offered to advise me at a machine next month in a local casino, but he gave me both of his books comped. It's not easy beleiving he's made a bundle off those 2 little books, and he didn't say he was charging me a fee for anything. But what am i to expect at the casino, is he in cahoots with the Indians? Does anyone here have any experience? Can I really trust him. That's not the guy i met but one never really knows.
I know he used to write for gaming Today because its on his website and I've read him in that paper. His articles say he quit for I forgot why and i didn't care why but now I do. Is there somewhere i can read about where he wouldn't substantiate his claims with them?

I'll just add "blower stuffer" to his resume.

I am so happy you like the bozo so much longjohnny. My advice is to believe all he says and you too could be as rich and famous and loved as him all with a small effort.
As far as him driving you home, You put your life in grave danger. I would have called a cab but I don't allow myself to get in the position you put yourself with a (gulp gulp) addict like the bozo.
My advice to the rest of the vp world is not to take anything he says as true and never ever stand close enough to smell his breath or b.o. Wheeew!

That's not too amusing. I only met the guy once and hes nothing more than an aquantance. I don't doubt he's what others say here on the internet, but he's not what you're saying either. They're ok people and i saw they rarely drink. Bo & foul breath hardly. Why such a beef?
Let us forget talking about him and i want to bring up something of interest he's doing. On the workbench in his garage there's one of the new flatscreen vid poker machines, all hooked up to these scopes and things that look like testers with wires everywhere and it was always on with hands being dealt and held real fast like. Im no electronics brain like he looks to be with all those wireless large flatscreen tvs around the house, so i asked about it and he said it was only some project he is working on that will be in his next book. he wouldn't expand which made sence because its a book, other than to tell it was playing super double poker(?). As a vp player i was fasinated by this, it was unusual. or is it?

Really !!! Having a flat screen tv makes one an electronics brain? No Really!!!! Was this before or after all the drinking?
Ask him about his sports betting screwup and his bankruptcy (250k). Maybe he will show you some proof of his make believe winnings.
Does his wife still support him? Or has she left him for tiger?
I love roughing that poor slug up and you just make it easy for me. You da man longjohnny. Smack smack!!!
You only saw them once but you say they seldom drink.
They must of been passed out if they were not drinking.
Hahahahaha.

Gee, it was nice of his friend at the game company to sneak a machine out for him to test. Especially one programmed not only to deal/draw, but also to decide on holds. I wonder if it's set for optimal play, or includes special plays as well...hmm. One would think that game companies would be a little more careful with their new machines. But then, times are tough, and maybe the companies are saving money by having their machines shipped out for testing by individuals instead of in-house. Tell your VP mentor that he can save himself testing time by just looking at the game chip to see if it has square or round corners.
Did you notice if the cards were being played twice as fast as a standard machine? Three times as fast? Four times? Then we'd know if he was doubling, tripling, or quadrupling the voltage to the machine. He needs to be careful with that; I did that last year to get my Christmas lights to blink faster and almost burned the house down.
The next time you visit or communicate with him, ask if he's keeping his test results in the same drawer as his "flip" results, or if he's keeping it all in his head. Will he leave us hanging as he did with "flips", or will he actually complete this experiment?
It's unfortunate that he won't be able to take results from the testing of the machine in his garage and extend them to the general base of VP machines. Very unfortunate. As he said during the "flips" episode, results can vary by casino, machine type (age and number of lines), and possibly denomination and coins played. So unless he gets a hold of at least one machine of every type from every casino in Nevada all he'll be able to report on is the one machine in his garage. That won't make for a very interesting or useful book. BTW, If the next book is put out as fiction I might pick up a copy, as I like to read and am always on the lookout for a good yarn.
If you do meet up with him in one of your local casinos, please let us know how it works out.
