Note to self: Don't mess with people who have canes.

Shiny,
I usually carry money in two places: first if it is hundreds - several folded up and slid inside the inside pocket under the credit cards of my wallet. (The money of last resort.) The bulk I usually carry inside my watch pocket of my jeans. As long as I don't lose too much weight it will be near impossible for someone to pick that pocket.

If we have several days of gambling or have hit big we use the room safe and we always use the safe while we are in Vegas.

I like billyjoe's idea of Traveler's Checks if we are traveling. Makes sense in holding you to a daily limit as well.

My suggestion is for women to carry their money in their pockets. Make sure to wear very tight garments as that will make you a low priority target for pickpockets.

Damule,

Two casinos I go to in southern Indiana agreed to checks for $2000 and $1500.  No hassle.  Perhaps different business practices in other parts of the country.

redleg do you have a picture of this weapon you wouldn't mind sharing with the group? I mean of the .45, not the 9mm.

Must be Vol. No way a large Vegas casino is cutting a check for $2k, they want it back in the machine.

Dont have a picture that I can put on line.  (In my cave, my camera uses film) lol  It really only looks like a regular wooden cane with a "fancy" handle.  It is a bit heavier than a normal cane.  Very accurate at 3 feet!  Hell of a recoil.

Most of the big casinos in Vegas will cash your check, especially  if you are a guest there.ED...you didn't say "fanny pack"?I like the room safe.  (And also look forward to having this problem.)
