Back from Vega$
First of all...Congrats to all who have posted their nice hits.
I just got back from a 6 night trip to the big city. I stayed Wed & Thurs Night at the Palms taking advantage of an offer that included a "Salon Suite", $100 spa credit, and $350 in FREE PLAY. Had a fun and relaxing time. Left there up $500+... BTW, I was going to go to the pool Friday and when I walked out there I felt like I was the only guy over 25 years old. WOW!! Some beautiful gals in those skimpy outfits.... I stayed until I thought my eyes were full enough!! LOL...
From there I went to Rio (which I hear through some sources has either been sold or is being sold by Harrah's... anybody hear?) from Fri thru Tues. I was given a 4 room "Masquerade Suite" (room 9001) for my stay along with $300 in Free Play vouchers + a $50 Free Play Diamond renewal bonus. I was able to play within my game-plan and managed to eek out an additional $1900+. Woo Hoooo!!!
I played a simple Single Line Strategy looking for 4oak hands as follows...
100 credits on .25 Bonus Poker if no hits then 300 credits on .25 TDB+.
If lost I would play 100 credits on .50 BP then 300 on .50 TDB+.
Then I would do the same on $1 denom... Luckily I never had to go higher than $1. After a 4oak was hit I would cash out and take a walk/break/jacuzzi/watch bevertainment/ etc. if it put me ahead by ANY amount. If I wasn't ahead (happened twice) I would switch machines and start at denom that reflected how much I was down. I had so much fun!! No Royals but I had 4 Aces on TDB+ twice (.25 & $1) and several on 2s, 3s, & 4s.
I took with me a Free Buffet coupon for Planet Hollywood. I decided to go over there Sunday evening and arrived just before 6PM. The line was huge for their Spice Market Buffet. I decided that I would sit across the aisle from the entrance and play thru a $20 slowly and wait for it to clear a little. I had no idea what was going on there that night. I suddenly heard applause break out behind me. I quickly turned and saw a bunch of photographers walking with their cameras going off like a constant strobe. And then I saw why... Miss USA was coming up the aisle accompanied by The Donald. She had just been crowned and was still crying. They paused for a few seconds right next to my machine and posed for a couple pics. I felt like Forrest Gump...accidentally in the middle of something important getting in the picture by total LUCK!
I was also comped a round of golf on Monday at the exclusive Rio Secca golf club. It was very windy and I shot pitiful but it did not matter to me because of the sights and views I was able to enjoy. Beautiful!!! I had the pleasure of meeting and playing with a pleasant gent from Toronto. Neither one of us could wait for the "Beer Girl" to come back around...and NOT for the beer...WOW she was really somethin'!
I hope you all enjoyed reading about my trip.

Great job Forrest. Video poker is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. Except AIDS. I knew that would happen to Jenny the way she slept around.

Just goes to show that when it comes to Hollywood you never know what's real and what's imagined.

Well, Well, Well. Here I am... gone for a while... I come back to share a fantastic trip with the forum and I see that the same ol' envy, jealousy, and immaturity exist here from all the same culprits. (Except for Skip...uh I mean OEJ... He's Dead and Gone... Good ridd... I mean God rest his soul)[Please don't be shocked by my attitude. He really sent me some vile comments directed to me and my family]. I thought that things might have changed here by now. But it seems that the same mischaracterizations and malice still exist. As the above comments show.
I guess some here are so frustrated with constantly losing their bankroll and/or "long-term" aspirations that when a person they refuse to like or believe has a good trip... the best they can do is insinuate that he is either a liar (by CDDenver) or be even more childish and take a phrase about playing a round of golf and try to call me queer (by Tedlark).
I just want to let a few of you guys know that if you did more on your gambling trips than stare at a video poker machine then you could experience some of what life as a VIP player has to offer. You seem to be jealous that someone can have the self-control to adopt a style of play that requires you to stick to a "game plan" from an individual from AZ that is banned here. You envy great comps that keep coming my way even though my play is substantially limited time-wise compared to yours. I have no stories to tell like the ones I read on here that tell of times that I play for hours on end having to drop down to the 10 cent machines before finally going to bed frustrated that I had to slow down my pace of losing. I have no stories of hitting quad 2's, straight flushes, etc. and then being so addicted that I play off the winnings right back into a machine that has become kinda like a friend to me. I think one recent story calls a machine his "Soul-Mate" when he had a few nice hits on it. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!
Instead, I come here and tell of a trip in which I had many interesting things happen... OTHER THAN ON A SCREEN!!
I didn't even include a story that happened on the same night that I saw Miss USA and Trump. I was sitting at the bar named "Extra" after my dinner at Planet Hollywood. A gorgeous woman was sitting next to me and I commented to her that the piano player was sounding really good. She agreed and we talked a little. She asked me where my accent was from. I told her I live in Florida by way of KY (not the jelly used by Tedlark). As she was leaving she held out her hand for me to shake. That's when I told her that we hug pretty girls down south when saying goodbye...then... THE HUG!!. She left. The bartender (Joel) came over to me and asked me if I knew who that was. I told him no. He told me that she was "LaLa" a VJ on MTV. If you want you can google her and see for yourself how pretty she is.
I could go on and tell you more about my trip but I don't want some to get even more hell-bent on discrediting me. Some of you should really think about what I said and consider looking up from the machines every now and then.
Peace

Rolanddude I am humbled by your modesty. I am though disappointed with your comments about OEJ but I take solace in knowing that usually people who make comments like you did, after a person is gone, usually get the same comments made about them after they die. I grew up well mannered (even though I'm not from the south) and I was raised knowing that observing personal boundries toward the opposite sex is a good thing. You however seem to dwell on the fact that you: hug; drool; put your arm around; oogle; and otherwise molest women. With you being a married man I'm guessing that your wife understands that you have a constant need to feel wanted by the female of our species and allows you these indescretions. I personally find behavior like this by older men to be creepy but hey, that's just me.
I will ignore the K-Y comment but maybe someday I'll tell of my meetings with some real heros.
Regards,
Ted
P.S. I will not make a rebuttal post as I will remain on the high road.
