Double Up

Is it me, or are machines with the double up option becoming harder and harder to find?  I started going to casinos in 04 and all three detroit ones had double ups on video poker machines...now there are four machines in the whole city that let me double up, all at greektown.  all the machines at the new casino in battle creek don't offer double up, same goes for new buffalo (although a 10 min drive to the blue chip and there still are a few).  I have a feeling most hard core video poker players don't double up but I've always thought it makes it more fun....

Doubling is a even bet (100% payback). That may be why some casinos don't activate it.
