Re: Can't improve dealt hand
If I remember right he plays a lot of triple bonus. If the payback is 8 for the FH then I think tossing the FH for 1-4 trips is the correct play.

Shadowman is correct. I only play triple bonus and DDB usually at the $2.00 level. I only throw away a full house if the hand involes trip A's, 2's,3's and 4's. When playing DDB its only for quad A's. I've had my share of quad A's with the kicker for $4K at the Grand that came from dealt full houses. Cool. I've seen people routinely and incorrectly throw away 2-4 Over FHs on DDB.

I've seen similar things many times. It's no wonder most casinos are awash in profits. OTOH, my wife and I are now 0-256 on 4RF attempts this year.

If it ever comes up again I think I'll ask if I can pay them for the flush so I can have the shot. Interesting. I've done that in Blackjack. High count, dealer showing a face and the player next to me is deald a 9/2. They are about to just take a hit and I buy the double down part of the hand. You'd be surprised at the number of players who will let you do that!I've never seen it in VP though.

I feel your pain, although not quite as badly. On my last trip I was dealt 4RF on a 5-play Super Times Pay game (no multiplier, though). 0 for 5 -- I didn't even make a paying hand on any of the five. Ouch!

I can relate; three years of VP play and only one RF during casino play. Several in practice but of course many more hands played here and on other training programs.

I feel the pain as well. A few days ago I played STP at Taj Mahal and was dealt 3 aces on 5-play DDB. I had a multiplier of 8. Do you think it would give me just 1 quad?? Nope.. nada... Forget about the kicker, I just wanted 1 stinkin' quad for a 6400 credit win!
This is the 3rd time I have been dealt 3 aces with a multiplier in the past year. Each time I have not connected with a quad or even a full house!

Although not STP I've gone over 20 tries on dealt 3oaks w/o hitting a quad on 5-play. I've also hit 4 quads on one hand (queens on SDB). The more you play it does tend to even out. This is good since I seem to be one of those people who never gets lucky right away on a new game.
