Re: Some Ads are Seriously Slowing Down Game Play

The cost of monthly membership (to eliminate all ads completely) is less than the cost of your first mile driving toward the casino. It's a deal that's hard to beat. And, no --- Webman does not pay me a commission for memberships sold......

Webman,I truly love this site, but as with the others who have complained about ads dragging the game, it's getting tough to wait for the deal to complete.  Ads I have had trouble with...American Family Insurance, some of the free game ads at the top of the page. At this time I cannot afford an upgrade (membership).  Wife was out of work for 6 months this year. I appreciate rascal's comment and will upgrade next year (as long as finances allow me), but it's not feasable at this time. Thanks for hearing me out Webman. Bob

Air optics contacts-right side, State Farm Insurance-right side.

All I can say is, Go for Gold! It's well worth it (another shameless plug from a friendly Gold member)

I did love my free month of gold... but a membership isn't currently in the cards.

Anyway, as of late, the Google Indoor Maps ads and the pair of pink cell phone ads on top of the page seem to slow things down. I generally right click them and either uncheck "play" or change them to "low quality."

I created a video of the slowness for informational purposes (or at least your amusement).

Ads slowing things down.

Ads slowing things down.Ouch. One thing I did notice... you have 12 tabs open at the top in your
browser, so all those tabs are also sucking up resources. If there are
any flash elements on those web pages, it will really be taxed. Try closing all tabs except for the game and see if that helps things a bit. Also, if there is an individual ad that comes up slowing things down, hit "refresh ads" in the bottom right (below the ad) to load different ads.

Wow 12 open tabs is a US record, the world record is 14 and I believe the recordholder is a Bulgarian. Word is that his record is questionable because he may have been using performance enhancing drugs.Happy New Years all.

not sure where to post this comment at.  I am getting ads in Spanish.  Why Spanish, and not Russian or German?
