Yep, just saw this....
Mohegan Sun reportedly will assume management of Atlantic City's Resorts Casino Hotel. Morris Bailey, owner of the casino resort, has scheduled a news conference for today to reveal an "exciting new partnership." Jennifer Ballester, a spokeswoman for Mohegan Sun, declined to comment on the reported agreement between the company and Resorts. The Press of Atlantic City (N.J.) (8/7)

I'm not sure how I feel about this, but i do know it was Dennis Gomes' intention to buildup Resorts business and then either sell it or merge (more or less) with a bigger better company so that apparently has come to fruition, too bad the guy passed away before it happened. His son has been seen prancing around the property in his capacity as VP (nepotism anyone?) His picture replaced his dad's on my monthly player's mailer detailing offers and specials and free rooms. I put maybe an average of $1000 coin in each month at Resorts AC and I get a weekly 2 night free room offer (no Saturdays) as well as about $120 in free play each month. Resorts AC has 2 of the best places to eat in the region: Gallaghers (both the steak house and Burger Bar), and their Italian joint (I forget the name I've only eaten there 3 or 4 times but it is absolutely heavenly.....Capadacio I think?) The best thing of all is their comp dollars, you can redeem them for a 1 to 1 ratio at the restaurants so its a great situation and very straightforward. I hope that does not change now that the indians have arrived! The chinese food at Resorts is also aces.....

The Italian restaurant at Resorts is Capriccio, and it's wonderful. They used to have a strolling guitarist named Benny who would sing all your favorite songs. Don't know if he's still there. We love it there.
