Super Times Pay Poker
I have played super times pay poker on this forum, and find it very difficult to win anything. I have also played it very sparingly in a casino, and have not had any luck.Seems like I hardly ever get the super times pay multiplier to activate, and when I do, I often get throw away hands. My last 100 hand game on todays contest, I only got the multiplier 3 times. The game before, I only got it activated 5 times. That seems pretty low, but maybe its within the average, I just have not played it that much. Is there an average for when the super times pay multiplier goes into effect? Does it come up more frequently with different games played? how does the RNG on the multiplier work, seems like 2x and 3x are common. Just curious in case I decide to give it another whirl in the casino's.

I played 3192 deals (using a hand held digital event counter) of 5 cent STP at a casino today. About an even mix of BP, DW, and DDB, two or three hands per deal split between two different machines. The multiplier came out 212 times. That is an average of 1 multiplier per 15.06 deals. Right about where it is supposed to be based on what I've read.
Longest stretch between multipliers was 92 deals. Best run of multipliers was 3 in 4 deals.
No winnings to report for today but played for 7 hours on $190.00 and had a great time. Would have quit sooner but my better half hit a pretty nice one on a 2 cent video slot that allowed me to go over my $100.00 normal limit.

Yeah, with respect to the contests, you are running a little below average, but for 100 deals, you should only get the multiplier 100/15 = 6.66 times on average. Hmm, maybe this game is the devil after all!
The RNG for the multiplier works like this for Super Times Pay. I listed the absolute probabilities even for deals that don't get a multiplier (1X)
1X = 1400/1500
2X = 17/1500
3X = 33/1500
4X = 16/1500
5X = 24/1500
8X = 6/1500
10X = 4/1500
Total = 1500/1500
So when you do get a multiplier, it will be 2X or 3X half of the time, and 4X or more the other half of the time in longterm play. And like you say, a big factor on this game is to actually hit hands when you have the multiplier. Do this more often, and you're more likely to get hooked. Personally I like to play Double Super Times Pay instead vs. Super Times Pay

If you are dealt an RF, AND you have an STP multiplier up, that multiplier will change to the 10x.

Just to clarify, that's only on Double Super Times Pay.

What is only on DSTP. That if you get a royal dealt it automatically is x10 twice every time. Or can you get a dealt royal without a STP multiplier?

OK, just so I am clear. In single STP, the multiplier comes up a 5x, you get a dealt RF, it stays on 5x. In Double STP, the multiplier comes up a 5x, you get a dealt RF, it changes the first multiplier to 10x AND you get a second 10x multiplier, for a total of 20x. If you get a dealt RF in either game, and there is no multiplier up, your RF is just 1x.
Is that correct, WebMan ?
