A little background, I have only cruised Carnival in the past, and they have 6/5 DBL DBL BONUS at the $.25 and $1 levels. All machines are 10 coin with RF progressives. I played the heck out of a $.25 bank back in 2009 because the $2000 royal was up over $5000. My wife hit it on the last night for $6500, so it was a profitable vacation.

NCL Video Poker
I recently booked a cruise on the Norwegian Sun. Do any players here have specific knowledge of the VP on the ship? I was told that they have 10 Game Kings and 6 of the Superstar Family machines. My understanding is that the Game Kings are 8/5 for $1 DBL DBL BONUS, but am curious about the $.25 and also whether they are 5 coin or 10 coin. My understanding is that the Superstar Family includes 3/5/10 play and games like Super Times Pay. I received this information from the Casino Fleet Manager via email except the 8/5 pay information which was from a user on a cruise message board. Do any people here have any additional or current information that they can share?

I have taken several NCL cruises, but only on the Pearl and the Star. The casinos there were as you described. Not great VP paytables, but there were a variety of games to play. As I recall, they were 5 coin Max Bet. I do not recall any progressive banks of VP machines.

In addition to the games you mentioned, the Superstar machines also have Spin Poker and Ultimate X. Dave

From what I recall on the NCL Gem the .25 paytable was 6/5! The only time I saw 10 coins was on the multiline (triple play) games which they had from .05-1.00 denominations
