Coming to Atlantic City CET casinos soon??

Post by jetermacaw »

Following is a "reply" and a follow-up comment to a question posed last
evening on a V.P. forum, vpFREE, asking if it were true that Caesars
Palace in L.V. had increased coin-in requirements for tier credits on
their video poker machines. Might this be a trend (like early check-in
fees) that will move from implementation in the Vegas market to their other casinos around the country? Reportedly Caesars Palace in Las Vegas is now only giving 1 tier
credit for every $25 played on video poker. This has been 1 tier credit
per $10 coin-in on video poker so this would be a huge change in the
negative direction for VP players. Can anyone confirm this?<

Someone mentioned this here a few days ago. It's not all video poker that's now $25 per point. It's only on the better vp.

Haven't heard that but it is obviously concerning. If it's true guess that means another year I won't be shooting for 7 Star status

Are there actually "better" VP games at Caesars properties? I only know of a handful if that means full pay games.

What in the name of gamblers anonymous is an "Early check in Fee"???    I have never heard of this nor encountered it until now.......   As for upping the VP point requirement, this should not surprise anyone;  First off, many casino organizations are totally de-emphasizing or phasing out much of their Video Poker inventory......the need for ever greater profits in an "industry" that is highly competitive as well as Mature (i.e. no longer growing), amidst an economy that is STILL stagnant, means  ditching the Video poker machines in favor of the ubiquitous penny slots with all their psychedlic light show flashiness!    And for the remaining Video Poker Machines and the Die hard stubborn players who play them, they will simply ADD the cost of playing VP into the comp calculations! Secondly, since this is Caesars Corporation we are specifically focussing on here, this further should not surprise us given the ENORMOUS, SUFFOCATING debt the company is currently under.    I personally do not understand, nor do I see, how this company can continue on the path it is following without some major, immediate restructuring of its debt load (i.e. filing for a preliminary Bankruptcy proceeding;  I forget the technical term but it basically allows a moratorium on Interest and debt accumulation but does not amount to a FULL BlOWN filing for Chapter 11)

It's mostly 9/6 JoB and 8/5 Bonus. It's not outstanding by any means.

As for the OP, I really don't know if this will spread elsewhere. Time will tell I guess.

Where do they even have 8/5 BP at Caesars properties? Certainly it can't be at lower denoms.

According to VPFree, Bally's and Showboat. Caesars Palace doesn't have it. 9/6 JoB is the better game either way.

You're referring to AC now aren't you? If so, Caesars AC does have a bank of six 9/6 JOB progressive machines.

All Caesars AC properties have 9/6 JOB at 1 dollar and up level, and almost all have 8/5 Bonus Poker at dollar and up level as well, but I cant speak for sure if Harrahs actually has the 8/5 Bonus Poker at 1 dollar level since I have never seen it, but all the other games I have seen at their properties in AC....  At the 25 cent level, Only Caesars, Showboat and Harrahs have 9/6 JOB at 25 cent (Caesars has 6 machines, showboat 8 machines and Harrahs 3 machines).    Only showboat has 8/5 Bonus Poker @ 25 cents (8 machines)

It's only (most of) the machines with 9/6 JoB and/or 8/5 BP in LV at CET that are now $25 per point. Look for a sticker by the card reader display.
