Re: Harrahs
heard from my host that caesars entertainment has sold the claridge property.don't know how that's going to work since they connected claridge and ballys.
Maybe installing a tollbooth?

Was at Harrah's Saturday and Sunday. Changeover was still in process and many machines are still not up and running. However - the DD section machines were replaced. There was at least 1 JOB 9/6 that I played. Compared top some of the other machines in Harrah's these new ones are awesome - screen and visibility wise. The Diamond Cove also has JOB 9/6 $1 and above.

To be honest, I really don't like the new IGT units as much. There are some nit-picky things I like about the old units better.
And I can't believe that Harrah's AC still haven't finished this.

vman, I'm there every other week, it just seems that there aren't a lot of tech people working on them. The most I've seen at one time is 3.

In AC, this time of year (October thru April) ALL casinos cut staffing levels and with the horrible AC economy continuing, this trend has reached new lows.....slot techs are considered a necessary evil by the idiots who run the AC casinos, an expense that cuts into their monthly bonus checks. Caesars properties like Harrah are already under tremendous pressure to cut costs due to the debt they are carrying so it makes sense they only have a skeleton crew available to do this type of work. Remember, what slot techs they DO actually have on property STILL have to deal with and fix all the little everyday urgent things that crop up with EXISTING machines, and slot machines have a priority over VP machines. I am certain that implementing these new VP machines at Harrahs is NOT the top priority of the few slot techs they have actually working.

was at harrahs joliet last night at they managed to swap out another quarter of the room with the new machines, bringing the room to about 50% new machines now (back room). the rest of the machines (out side the room, bar area) have not been touched, but all the $1 progressive banks have already been swapped out.
my only bright spot of the night was trying dream card for the first time on the new machines when i was dealt J333* (dreamcard for the last 3) and then the redraw gave me the ace for 2k on TDB.

Way to go scotty, I was going to head over to Harrahs last night but I was sidelined. Have they changed out the 3 10 play machines just outside of the video poker cave?

i dont believe so, the only thing i noticed just outside of the cave, are the machines on the right - all those new multi line / strike machines. the circle of STP is still in tact (for now) and the old game kings are all still there from in front of the cave heading left towards the bar.
im sure its just a matter of time...

I was told every IGT poker machine at Harrahs Joliet will be changed by December. I also think the first 3 machines on the blue bar should have been changed last night.
