Maryland Live
Interesting article about this casino which definitely could siphon off customers from AC especially from the DC/Baltimore Metro Areas. While not mentioning VP, it does say there are "thousands of slot machines and 177 table games" on-site.

It will be interesting to see how they do there in Baltimore. I assume they will be under the same Maryland rules as is Ocean Downs in Berlin. If so, you can forget going there. I play there when not in AC just for something to do some weekends and let me tell you I can lose more in four hours there than I do in AC in four days. It is awful. Guess they will be hooked up to the main brain computer in Annapolis like Ocean Downs? Any insight on that?

Which could siphon customers off of AC? Don't you mean already have? VP is generally terrible in Maryland, but the blackjack rules are great...sigh

I was there last year. It's a smorgasbord of video poker. When you go to a buffet, you want to try everything. It's the same with video poker.
Maryland Live and Four Winds have the best variety of video poker outside of Vegas. The pay tables aren't good but those casinos are both busy with players who want to play them all.

Yeah 4 winds does have a ton of different games available, but at least at 4 winds they do have some 99% games at the 1 play dollar level. And I definitely don't mind four winds because i'm 3 for 3 winning there. Lol

This is one of the reasons I have felt comfortable playing in cash games (and not only tournaments) at Borgata the last few months....many of the "Great White" sharks have moved from Borgata to this maryland place, leaving the less lethal sharks to swim in AC, although even many of these guys have bolted too.Borgata is now freshly stocked with lots of "fish", and I am more like this "Calvin" guy mentioned in the article......when it comes to cash games I play $2 / $5 and $1 -$2, but if I am feeling really sharp or if I am wayyyyy up, I will play an hour or two at $5 /$10 but you must be careful, and watch the stacks of the guys who are already there to ensure no one is playing with so much money that they can call anyone anytime and put you ALL IN on every hand. My hope is that with consistent play over the summer, I will be a "Tiger Shark" by Autumn, and will have carved out my own territory in AC (and maybe Mohgan in Connecticut if I get on a roll)
