Just had 50 more whiffs on the 50 line STP weekly game - dealt king-queen-jack-ten of diamonds, and no royals on the draw.

This brings me to 196 misses in a row (including the ones on this site) - closing in on that 212 number!

And, since we're off to the casino in a couple of hours for an overnighter, perhaps a chance for more?

Yep! Playing 10 line JOB, dealt king-queen-jack-ten of spades - zero royals on the draw.

I have to confess to being mildly surprised (I shouldn't have been) when, playing 100 play quick quads in the weekly game this morning, I was dealt, again, king-queen-jack-ten of spades, and hit zero royals on the draw (I did draw the nine of spades four times for straight flushes).

I missed a couple of days ago at Seneca Niagara on a five line one. I am now at 111 consecutive misses in the casino, plus another 150 on games on this site.

Still nowhere near as bad as 500000+ hands without a royal of any kind, but bad enough.

This is starting to get bizarre!

Again, today, I was dealt four to the royal playing 100 line quick quads, and again, I whiffed all 100 times!

I would be really curious to know how many total hands you think you have played without a Royal. I hope it is not approaching the over 500k mark like mine did. What I am finding however is that deuces quads, aces with kickers, 5 of a kinds on joker poker, and other premium hands are coming in right about where they should be within a point or so either way. I am also seeing the best premium hands coming in on games where they don't matter more than they should be showing up. I don't have an accurate count, but it is significant.

Not very many. I hit a royal on a two card draw on Sunday at Seneca Niagara playing 5 line 50c 8/5 bonus poker.

I have had 21 royals this year - I don't have an issue with royals at all - but I do get a little frustrated to be so close on the deal so many times, and not hit on the draw. I did hit on a one card draw in late March - so it hasn't been that long a time.

But, since then, it is 111 times in the casino, and 250 playing games on this site - dealt four parts of a royal and missing on the draw.

April 23 -4/RF on 25 hands caught 2. Less than 15 minutes later 4/RF again and caught 1.

May 1: 4/RF on 25 no hits then later dealt the deuces as pay back.

May 6: 4/RF on 30 - no hits but had hit during session 2 - RF holding 2-3 on quarters/ 5 playing 5¢ holding 3 max. One holding J-10. Meanwhile, Sweet C throws away 4/RF (Straight Flush w/9) and catches two on 30 hands.

Later May 6 I'm sitting next to a guy who catches 4/RF on 100 hands. To our amazement not one RF. (Less than ten minutes later he catches 3 D/w Ace and then 3 D again and cashes out $1,800 playing 5¢.)

May 7 - I catch 4/RF on 43 hands and not one.

Got in a discussion about Royal Flushes with a guy in Biloxi. I told him that if you are dealt 4 to a Royal, the odds were 1 in 47 of getting the draw. He disagreed. He said the odds were much higher. If you take a deck of cards and pick 4 to the royal, there are only 48 cards left. Since 1 in 47 odds. He still disagreed.

He still disagreed.

What did he think the odds are (other than "much higher")? What was his rationale, if he had any?
