Was Ben Franklin an educated man? I mean did he reach the scholastic heights that you have? And you really should read up on John Adams.

John Adams' Alma Mater was Harvard.

In Colonial America, just about EVERYONE, even city dwellers, grew a portion of their own food....they had to, for obvious reasons.   I was simply pointing out the ridiculousness of the dismissive comment that the US constitution was authored by "a bunch of farmers."And it really was NOT "common sense" that influenced the men (especially James MAdison) to put together the original version of the US constitution......first and foremost, the previous attempt, the Articles of Confederation which was our FIRST form of government, served as a foundation to BEGIN revising and revamping that which later became our COnstitution......furthermore, the Articles themselves, and then later the US Constitution were both HEAVILY influenced by ENGLISH Law and Government, as one would logically expect.   English Common law, the Magna Carta, as well as european philosphers like John Locke and others HEAVILY influenced the drafting of the constitution.    This is hardly common sense....men like MAdison, Jefferson, and Franklin were head and shoulders above most men in their day, intellectually as well as with respect to integrity to remain faithful to the principle of doing what's right and best for ALL (and not some group of landed aristocracy or the wealthy.)

Wow DaBurglar you were actually NOT as long winded as my 8th grade US history teacher....that guy could ramble on!!Wow  THANKS! oh, wait a sec.........I dont get it, I write the way I write......I try to be complete, because god forbid, if I leave something out, or leave a loose end in my point, or whatever....."you know who" (our own resident dark lord Voldemort) plops another turd in the middle of a thread hoping I will wheel over it and get all his poop in my tires and track it back into my hotel room.     But on the other hand, by being complete and thorough and whatever else is needed, I then get a turd flung at me for being long winded.    No matter what I get Sh*t!!!     Only because Tedlark is full of turds, he is intent on making me miserable with turds. And another thing......making fun of my "vocabulary" is actually not cool....this is me, the way I talk and write (in other words COMMUNICATE)....making fun of the words I choose to use is NO DIFFERENT than mocking someone's accent or making fun because someone stutters.....its a coward's move.   If I personally do not understand a word someone uses, either I politely ask them to clarify what they mean, or I STFU and go look it up on my own time....I dont whine and complain and insult that person for being too intelligent for me to understand.    AND YES, vocabulary IS one (of many) measures of a person's intelligence!   That's why a large portion of the SAT, and other scholastic tests, include it amongst the standards.

Right now I'm full of scrambled eggs, turds have never been a staple of my diet. Tomorrow night at this time I may be full of Chinese.

Can't everyone just get along?

This sniping at each other is childish. I have an idea - maybe you (whichever person feels this is directed towards) should apply for a political party so they can write the copy for the next TV ad....

Politicians start out throwing small insults and end up throwing elephant crap by the ton at each other.

Back to topic - I believe the casinos are protecting their customers by not letting the security guards shoot robbers while inside near innocent bystanders.

While I lived in Las Vegas some idiot attempted to rob a pawn shop - only to have the shop owner point his own gun at the would-be robber. The pawn shop specialized in gun sales.

Please excuse any mis-spellings or lousy grammer, that's just my way of communicating.

I wish lots of royals to all - and a safe life.
