Harrahs Atlantic City on 20/20 TV show
I haven't been to AC in over 20 years. If anyone else saw the 20/20 show Friday night on ABC, I'd be interested to hear your opinions. Basically, it aired several of Harrahs' own video surveillance cameras, capturing extraordinary abuse of Harrahs' customers by their "security" team.
It was shocking videos and certainly does not portray Harrahs in a positive light.

I did not see the broadcast (I rarely watch TV), but someone told me about it. I would not be surprised if, with all the closings/downsizings going on in AC, the remaining employees are a little irritated. Probably would not take much to set them off, although that is no excuse.

After our experience with an obnoxious security guard at a Harrah's casino a few months ago, this just confirms our decision to forgo any comps/offers from CET and not frequent their facilities.

Thanks for posting that link, which summarizes the story reported in the 20/20 show on ABC.
Seems to me that the Director of Security at Harrahs AC is the primary instigator in every case, and presumably instructs his security officers to use excessive force.
What surprised me is the fact that the defendants' attorney was able to secure copies of the videotapes captured on Harrah's surveillance . . . after watching them, cameras don't lie, and you'd think Harrahs would have "accidentally" lost the tapes.

wow How did I miss this? But you know what, I am totally not surprised, given the security guards I encountered during my recent stay at harrahs AC, August 4 and August 5.......They currently employ a bunch of morons for security guards, I mean these people are just plain...."not very bright".I asked them, in a very plain spoken manner and tone, is the walk route along the marina's water edge from Harrahs to Borgata SAFE these days? ......all 5 (five) security guards standing around listening to my question were rendered clueless......one of them blurted out "I didnt know y'all can walk from here to Borgata?!?!" I had to ask one of the Valet guys that I knew from years past.Unreal.......but yes, these security guards, many of them feel like they are ALL POWERFUL and it has to stop......

I called CET three times and sent them written corresepondence. They refuse to close my Total Rewards account but will stop sending me emails and postal promotions. I was harassed by a security officer and pushed up against a wall just because i was talking loud to my father. Their excuse was that I was going to assault my father. When they should have stayed out of my and my dad's business. This happened at Harrahs Atlantic City on 9/22/14 so the crap is still going on

well, sadly, given the socioeconomic makeup of South Jersey, the many gangs in nearby Philly and other cities, and the rampnat drug epidemic in South Jersey and neighboring states, casinos in AC (especially the marina) apparently "need" a certain quality in their security forces. a certain "thuggishness" is, I guess required in order to handle the worst of the worst......but sadly, innocent bystanders, and "normal" customers get in the way, just like in real neighborhoods where innocent bystanders get shot and the criminals who are trying to kill each other go unharmed.Jngrisani, you need to file a formal complaint with the Gaming Enforcement division (and get an attorney)...otherwise, nothing will get resolved.

Tell me again why I am staying at Harrah's Marina prior to my cruise?
