Attaining Diamond status
Just wondering if anyone attained CET Diamond status in a short period and what's the best game to do it. Currently Platinum with about 9000 points to go. Strictly a VP player and can knock it out here at Casino Windsor before my week long trip to Vegas Jan 8.

Tony if you are just playing to reach Diamond then playing slots and earning the daily bonus is the way to go. If you are looking to play video poker then I would say DDB is your best route to go. DDB to me is better than JOB but that's my opinion. I would play TDB personally.
Good luck to you. Harrahs in Joliet, IL has a promotion going on until like December 23rd where they will TRIPLE earned tier credits. I may play this to try and up my Diamond level.

Wow...that's a great promotion Ted! That's something I should look into...have family outside of Chicago that could make that doable.
I also thought about slots but....ughhh....slots!!
Casino Windsor only has a couple machines that have TDB, so it would have to be DDB if I do it there.

With the daily bonuses, pounding away at a multi-line $1 machine would get you there in a day. I would go for 9/6 JOB to avoid large swings, hopefully keeping losses to a minimum.

Tony,
My preference in most play is Deuces which like JOB and Bonus has low variance. You may not hit the big hits but you can generally stay in the game longer thus accumulating more coin in (points). Sweet C on the other hand is a DDB fan and is willing to take the higher volatility for the big hits. Good luck.

Remember CET offers bonuses so if you get 1000 points in a day they give you another 1000 which count towards your status. Earn 2500 and earn 5000. If you're only 9000 away, you can do if you earn 2500 and 1000 in each day. NOTE: I don't if that applies at Windsor.

Thanks, I didn't know about the daily bonus. I have a free room offer in Windsor on the 2nd so if those bonuses do apply I will definitely see what I can do.

Tony, at CET your points are set back to zero on Jan. 1st each year. You have 9000 now but when you get to Windsor on Jan. 2 you will have zero. So if you wish to make diamond card status this year you need to make your Windsor trip between now and the end of the year. With the bonus tier it will only take one day if you can get 2500 tc in one day and get the 5000 tc bonus that goes along with it. That will put you over the 15,000 tc's you need to reach diamond card status.
Also on your trip to Vegas if you are not Diamond or 7 star even though your rooms may be comped you have to pay $25 per night for your rooms. This change was made I think in October this year. You can go to www.totalrewards.com to get a complete summary of CET benefits.

Chatty.....my platinum card says 03/2015, kinda why I figured I still had time. Question though, if I do obtain diamond is it only good til March or is it good for the whole year. Would kinda suck to obtain it but then lose it a month later!
