Double Super Times Pay
2015 will hopefully be the year of hitting lots of premium hands to make up for some of last year. To speed this process along, I played some DSTP at Mohegan Sun last night. This was a nickel machine and paytables were not good at 95-97 percent, but I can see where you could have a really cold session and hit just 1 or 2 nice hands with a double multiplier to be in the black again. I played 10 hand games. No big hits, but I was surprised at how long a couple of 20's lasted. Several times I was down to the last deal and a multiplier ( both deal and draw ) came through with enough ammo to play some more. I found this game fun and hopefully next time profitable. How do others like this game and what are your favorite games to play on this type of machine? I played it mostly on DW with a crappy 20/

I too hope the law of averages will negate most of your losses from the horrible year.
I have avoided all game types other than the single line Game King thus far due to the lowered paytable for all the games. I know the payout potential for STP and Double STP is great, but the bonus return it theoretically adds did not make up for the difference than playing on a lesser paytable. I think Dancer mentioned on his radio show that Double STP has a variance similar to Ultimate X; which Dancer says that it is much easier to write a check to the casino when playing on a poor paytable.
The nickel and quarter Double STP was available in 8/5 DDB, 9/5/4 DB, 8/5 Jacks, 20/12/10 Fooler Deuces. I forgot what Bonus Poker was set at. I think it will benefit you as you will possibly earn momentum points for your casino club card?
I recall Vman96 mentioning quite often on these forums that 8/5 Bonus Poker and 9/6 DDB are available at the South Point (Vegas) for 3/5/10 Play for quarters. So far its the best paytable I heard of, if you are able to make it there, I think you'll love it there.

Yeah Double STP is about as swingy as ultimate X on a raw money basis. Why I like the game so much is beyond me.
Hollywood St. Louis is definitely promoting the game though when some lucky SOB hit the dealt royal with deal multiplier at 10-play quarters on Nov. 12th for $200,000...
Wow! And sadly the paytables there are bad. Quarters is 8/5 DDB at best...it actually might be still 7/5 like nickels/dimes are. The casino next door, Ameristar, finally put in some all star IIs in for 5c-25c. At least they have the balls to offer 6/5 Bonus w/DSTP and 6/5 Bonus w/UX for nickels unlike Hollywood who hasn't touched the old, crappy paytables Harrah's created for these games.
Hope to play some full pay DSTP at South Point later this month though!

And I hope you nail it good. To me, playing this game is worse than trying to eat one lays potato chip or just having one small glass of beer. I guess its that prospect of a huge win on a small bet. That small bet part sounds good to me this year.

Good luck. If you get a chance to play during President's Day this Monday (too soon), you will get to see Bob Dancer playing Quick Quads and able to be an advantage player for the day.

Unfortunately I'll arrive a couple of days after president's day. :(
Boyd casinos are offering nice multipliers that day too. :(
