Casinos may be smart to put Winning Streak games i
Mohegan Sun is starting to put these games in all over the place and also mixing them up with regular slots instead of keeping the machines in the vp only areas. From what I have learned so far, the strategy to play this game correctly is extremely complicated and may not be feasable to even figure out. The ones they put in have options of playing either 5 or 10 cents and so far, they do not offer a Deuces Wild option. The job paytable is 8/5 which is not something I would normally play anyway, but I guess in some areas of the country, that is all that is available for a job game. When played with incorrect strategy, I can see the casino really raking it in on these machines just like they do on regular slots and unfortunately from my vp play as well. Just curious if others are seeing this game go in in other parts of the country.

Winning Streak as in Multi-Strike?
I do not see Multi-Strike games or much of Action Gaming's gimmick games around locally unless I go to Vegas.
Video Poker for Winners has training mode abilities for Multi-Strike.

He might be talking about "Winning Streak" poker by WMS. They failed miserably in most areas I've visited after being installed in early 2013. All the Caesars properties I've visited had them at one point and all of them yanked them out.
I'm a little bitter about the game too thanks to this play money hit worth zero dollars and zero cents.

I appreciate the clarification. It seems to be the WMS version of multistrike. If it does not last long at a live casino there must have been an exploit. That is an amazing hit, but I too will feel digusted knowing it's not worth anything.

Don't think there was an exploit. Mostly garbage CET paytables killed it. Also the interface wasn't as good vs. your standard IGT games. VP players like some sort of familiarity in that department, imo. I would say that any given unit was being utilized 5 to 10% of the time at best.
Example of garbage game at Horseshoe Tunica in April 2013. I was playing their best nickel option. And paytables didn't go up for higher denoms either.
They lasted longest at Harrah's Joliet because they were ulitized over half the time. Why? They offered 9/6 DDB with a $5k Royal at dollars for standard VP and was their best game in the house.

Just got back from an uneventful overnight marathon. I took a break and a long walk and noticed nobody was playing the Winning Streak machines. I think the graphics are hard on the eyes. I gave the game about 15 minutes the other day. I'm done with it. Also I noticed they are sticking the machines in low traffic areas. Maybe they got a deal on them. Like vman said, paytables are not good either, but they are nickel and dime games. I think the entire design of the screen is very poor.
On the other hand, the new Asian machines are popping up and are busy even in the middle of the night. I like the game and have managed to get ahead every time I played it, only to blow the winnings on vp.
These are the machines that allow a 38 cent bet as the starting bet. Some others have 55 cents as the starting bet. There are several types of bonuses in these games. I managed to pull out a hundred bucks or so out of them just playing 38 or 88 cents, but like posted above, gave it back in short order. I am back to playing single line Deuces Wild. The variance on the spin poker and Multi Strike finally caught up with me. No shortage of the 98.91% games at Mohegan, so I am content with that for now.

The low demand for this game is understandable. It would have been a better gimmick than multi-strike provided level 3 is 5x instead of 4x and level 4 is 10x instead of 8x, lower paytable probably protects the casino from paying out a big jackpot when the player will ruin more often. Too many colors is not good for the eye so I understand the lack of appeal on that end.
I think the 38 cent slot game, a piece of the return would go towards the progressives, thus it makes it a volatile game. Bally's slots are known for its progressives.
