Getting ready to go play
Been a tough week, the high temps and humidity have kicked my butt and I need a break from work. If it wasn't so hot I'd go golf or fish, probably save me some money. My attitude toward video poker is at an all time low, I'll more than likely hit a couple a small quads lose a chunk of money and end driving home again thinking about where all the decent hands have gone. I wished I could film my playing session, I'll be heading to a casino where I'm yet to hit quad Aces w/kicker or a royal, I figure I've got to be due because the statistical numbers have to start catching up. Best I can tell I'm at around 60K hands played, if the odds mean anything I should hit at least one royal today and quad Aces w/kicker three times, I'll report back in tomorrow.

Good luck ko. Maybe FAA's onto something; VP players wear body cameras to record their play? This way I could never be accused of recycling pictures, lol...

Mine would have sudden forehead close ups from banging it against the machine.

Played for around 7 hours, quad 3's once and a handful of small quads. The casino was actually crowded and the vp machines were getting plenty of play, never saw anyone getting a hand pay. I did get take a break from vp and play a $5 slot, hit orange 7, orange 7 and double orange 7, thought I had caught something really good but it turned out to be $750. Funny thing though when I looked up to see what orange 7's paid the machine didn't even show orange 7's, only red, purple and yellow. Turns out the orange 7's were supposed to be yellow.

That is something really good! And screw the colors, as long as you're seeing green.

Hey funny I went on the 30th. with the same emotions and stats. Been about 90K hands for me since my last Royal, have not hit AWAK for about 120K hands and only had a couple of hand pays quad Kings on $5 and dealt 2WAK and dealt 3WAK on TDB since May 5th. Figured the odds had to be in my favor. Nope... same outcome as always. First bad sign was they finally removed the 10/6 DDB and 9/7 TDB to 9/6 DDB and 8/6 TDB. Played anyway and it was a joke... was in $2k before I got my first quad and it was rag 6's then it was the usual spend $500 to win $250. All said and done played around 7,500 hands got 5 quads. Of course all rags, 6,8,K,6,10s. I like you decided to put $100 in the $5 slot and did get 2 mixed 7 and a 2x for $800. Took that and blew it through the poker machine and got nothing. At one point on the newly downgraded machines I played close to $300 without a full house. Normally I would move machines but I wanted to see how much it would take before it would give me one. Nowadays I just play and hope I get dealt something. I have got dealt Trip Aces over 128x now without drawing the 4th ace and I don't count the dealt 2,3,4 but it has to be up there. It's just impossible to catch the case card for a 800+. One thing I have noticed I am getting a lot more straight flushes this year than any other year.

More than once I've had that same run of luck, $300 or more in the same machine without hitting a full house. The entire day I was only dealt trip Aces twice, I have no idea what happened to the Aces, I used to hit them like crazy. Not a bit surprised to hear you're getting more straight flushes, that's pretty much the case with everyone who still plays a lot of vp. I brought the fact that more straight flushes were popping up, I tend to get way more than the norm when it comes to being dealt 4 to the flush off the deal. I've been lucky enough to catch a few royals but it's the aces that are driving me nuts, where did they go.

I noticed more than once when a certain row of vp machines early in the morning haven't been played it would show that a large payout on each machine . I think they do this to make people believe these machines pay good. Has anybody ever seen this.

Binoy, that can be counterproductive, if it's even intentional. I hate playing machines that recently paid huge. Just superstitious.
