A little drama is good for the soul, assuming you stay out of the crossfire. I wisely did not start a fight yesterday with a chain smoker to my right holding cig with left hand, giving me direct second hand gust. But I will purchase a battery operated fan this week for future visits! Human chimney.

I saw last year a short but pretty bloody fist fight at Sams Town Casino Las Vegas , both seemed to be drunk and advanced in age. In general I think the area around Sams Town on the Boulder Strip looks not really safe,am I wrong ?

When I change my name to Sitting Bull and ask DaBurglar to meet me at Little Big Horn, maybe.....See, if you truly knew history, you'd never make such flippant analogies or comments.....The whole saga of the Little Big horn has been mythologized, distorted, twisted and warped with every re-telling, re-interpretation, and re-analyzation. George Armstrong CUster was neither the Glorious courageous Leader some still attempt to portray him as.....and he wasn't quite the arrogant, horrible buffoon of a leader many attempt to color him as.......Likewise, the Indian leadership of the Sioux nation during this time was neither as great, NOR as shortsighted as many try to portray; they simply were shaped and influenced by the immediate circumstances presented to them at that moment in history....Sitting BULL was NOT even present during the actual battle (or BATTLES, plural, since the engagement at Little Big horn was the culmination of a campaign that stretched and spanned numerous days and locations, and actual forces/units, spread out over a wide area).... during the 30 minute running firefight known as "CUSTER's LAST STAND", that concluded with Custer's 220 horse troopers dismounted and spread out along a crest of seven small hills, Sitting Bull was back in his Teepee, smoking who-knows-what, while the ACTUAL tactical command of the roughly 2,000 "Indians" (i.e. NATIVE AMERICANS composed of Lakota Sioux, Oglala or "Blackfoot" Sioux, Dakota Sioux, and Cheyenne warriors and a few Arapho) was done by primarily by Chief Crazy Horse, with another chief, known as "GALL", lending his expertise as well. I mention Sitting Bull smoking "who knows what"......this is not a joke; Sitting Bull was first and foremost, a "HOLY MAN" amongst the Sioux, and it was his "VISIONS" under the influence of Peyote which led to the Indians fighting against the Custer-led expedition of 1876: Apparently, Sitting Bull had a vision of Soldiers "falling like Grasshoppers" after battling against the tribes of the plains, and this greatly inspired the tribes in the area to set aside petty differences and UNTIE against the Federal Invasion of their territory which was happening in the Spring of 1876 thanks to some GOLD discovery on Sioux Tribal lands in the Black Hills of South Dakota, considered "Sacred" by many tribes of the region,Sooooooo, Mr Ted Lunkhead, what's it going to be? Are you, in your Sitting Bull, analogy, making yourself out to be a Over-hyped warrior? A "Holy Man"? A Stoned, Psychedelic guru who conjures visions of bloody horrific slaughter and preaches such things to the masses (ala Jim Jones?) Or are you (as I strongly suspect), merely someone who manages to insert their size 26 foot into their size 25-3/4 mouth on a regular basis, and you in fact mean no harm to no one in particular, even ME?

DaBurglar I am very well aware of Custer and everything you wrote about him. I am also very well aware of Sitting Bull and what you wrote about him and, that goes for Crazy Horse also. As I mentioned before: I have been a student of American History(and lore) all my life. I have been to Little Big Horn, DaBurglar can you also make that claim?
I used Custer/Sitting Bull/Little Big Horn as an example that most here would be able to understand. It wouldn't have had the same effect if I mentioned: Lord Montgomery/Rommell/Africa, right?
Please spare us the Wikipedia on WWII tank battles...
By the way, how was your recent trip to Atlantic City? I missed your trip report.

By the way, how was your recent trip to Atlantic City? I missed your trip report. right, you are aware of all this info now that I have divulged it in my post above..... Student of "lore" my arse.....Besides, my point was not to demonstrate my vast, superior, profound knowledge of American History, it was to show how poor your analogy was to begin with......and NOPE, never set foot (or wheels) in the middle of the dry, barren hills of southern montana and south dakota; fortunately, actually VISITING such a place offers NO advantage when it comes to developing a profound, detailed knowledge about the events or history of such a place.....You no doubt were looking for a casino when you stumbled across the battlefield.

Actually the first time I was there I was a bit too young to enter a casino and the second time I wasn't looking for a casino either. I remember that you also said you had not visited (on wheels or afoot) American Civil War and American Revolution battlefields and points of interest like I had either. You are quite wrong with your thinking that visiting such places offers no advantage when it comes to developing a profound, detailed knowledge about the events or history of such a place. But by you not visiting such places I could see why you'd make that mistake. I'll be happy to send you a list of the contents of my personal library but be warned ahead of time: it is comprised of historical and biographic material and not material that is sold under the counter of your local adult bookstore. I'd tell you to be ready for a letdown but you're used to those by now.

Seriously, any of you forum members out there NOT named Tedlark.......do you guys (and girls) care one iota about how many historical sites either myself or Tedlark has visited in our lifetime? Is anyone's opinion of either of us influenced one iota? Does this have anything to do with your next trip to a casino to lose money playing video poker games that are not the same as they were in previous years?Does anyone care that I know vastly more about history (and many other things) than Tedlark? I'm guessing no.....so I promise, the next time Ted makes a non-sequitur historical (or hysterical) analogy that does not fit, I'll leave it alone and continue to focus on video poker and casinos in general.So here I am, moving on.....{Da Burglar moves on.....in this>>> direction......}
