Re: Recreational W2G Win
If you have the discipline to limit your pot shots to no more than $20
at a time and return to playing Cheap, they can be profitable. The truth is when you hit four $1,000
quad deuce hands or one for $5,000 you can play Cheap Strategy quarters
for a very long time. I always reserve a couple of 20s for this
purpose. Sooner or later anyone can hit one of these hands. The key
is Bob Dancer's favorite word "discipline". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I may even denote that twenty PS with a Sharpie!

Wow! That's a great experience - what a lucky day! Deuces Wild is a fun game (not sure if the odds are better than the others) and the Deuces always keep it interesting! Congratulations

Thanks Jesceb as well as for a good first post! It was certainly a thrill, does not hurt to just go to the high limit room once or twice (not too much) if you go on a 8 round losing streak to just give it a shot at 5 folds you normally play at. And welcome to the forum if you plan on participating.

Thanks Bill! I have been taking a handful of highlimit shots and it can sometimes restore some of your losses on a bad day. I hope you and your spouse are doing well from the hiatus of play.

Thanks for the good wishes. Yes indeed we are on a hiatus from VP at casinos. We play correctly bit our luck has been atrocious. As I've said before, regardless of paytables, etc. It still comes down to luck. Well over 95% of both of our VP play in Vegas has been single line,$0.25 DDB or TDB. After 10 years of multiple trips and often marathon sessions neither of us have had a RF and only a handful of AWAKs playing single line. No idea what the odds are but I'm sure we are at the very bottom of the bell curve. At some point, hopefully our VP fortunes will change when we test the waters again. In the meantime hope you, and all the other recreational players on the forum, have many more great hits.
