Re: GREATEST COMEBACK EVER?
I was at Taj Mahal in Atlantic City and had played all but $20 on various video poker machines. I couldn't win anything and was down $400 which was a lot for me. My husband asked if I really wanted to throw my last $20 in and I told him "Absolutely". The machine was .25 Deuces and Joker Wild. On the third hand I had 2-2-J. Held those and was dealt 2-2. My husband was not even looking and the machine started making a weak ding-ding-ding. He thought I had a low winning hand, then looked at saw I won $2500. After the hand pay, the slot supervisor told me "No one ever hits on theses machines... you should probably head home". That was all my husband had to hear so we were gone within 3 minutes.

One of my greatest comebacks ever was at Barona Casino in Southern California about 5-6 years ago. I had a 3-day trip planned, just a few days before Christmas (Dec. 21-23), playing primarily $1 10-Play Super Double Bonus (99.66%) and $2 NSU Deuces 5-Play. The first day, I started with a bang and was up $11,000 by mid-day, before the roof caved in---by the time I called it a night, I was only up $1,000. The next day, I had an even better run and was up $13,000 by late afternoon. Once again, the bottom fell out and I found myself underwater in the early hours of the morning. Playing $5 DB Single Play, I got 4 Aces for $4000 and went to bed about 5 a.m. at break-even. My 3rd and last day (I had to leave by 4 p.m.), I hit another bad streak and was down $6,200 by 2 p.m. I was kicking myself for having twice coughed up five-figure profits and went on tilt. I started playing $5 NSU 5-Play Deuces (starting each session with $2500---only had $5K left to play with). My first session, I was dealt a SF and doubled my money. Now down "only" $3700, I took a 5 minute break and pumped the machine with another $2500 session stake. It was about 3:30 p.m., when I was dealt 3 to the Royal. I was mildly pleased when I got a Wild Royal on my second hand. Suddenly, I saw the "Royal Flush No Deuces 4000" banner on the 3rd hand and let out a primal scream. That was my last hand, of course, and I left the casino up $17000. I felt mighty good during the Christmas holidays.
