Re: A lot happier since I quit
Forty years ago, Muhammad Ali won rounds in fights while barely moving his feet. I am now grasping this fact. We can win by barely betting. Just a few strategic bets each hour to extract max value from a premium hand should produce a break even day. Be coy, shrewd and methodical. Do not allow your emotions to foolishly drag you into a max bet segment. That is enough to blow all your hard work!

I got hit hard in the face today when I saw my win/loss for Coconut Creek/Hard Rock. I have not been in a casino in 3 weeks, working 2 jobs 7 days a week. I was stunned when I saw this huge freaking loss. I will not set foot in a casino in a long time!

Thanks for the honest post, LL. When CET sends statement next month, I may well join you on the sideline.

I'm along for this as well. No putting my money in the machines, but I'll play out whatever comps come my way. Got to get things in order this year.

My advice to everyone is quit while you're behind because it's only going to get worse. Will I follow my own advice, probably not, but I assure you that things won't be the same. I cut back in 2015 and I'll cut back even more in 2016.

There are still plenty of nice short-term hits available in VP..... But if you play long-term, you will be a loser. The math doesn't lie. (Unless your name is Bob Dancer, lol lol lol!)

Chi, I do agree on short term hit availability. I will just play through my FP and a twenty beyond. My trip cost is fortinately cheap enough to still justify weekly visits. It's really a nice weekend activity at a low cost if I ratchet down to the bare bones. And thanks for sharing your story about those three poor souls.

I am kinda feeling the same way. They have tightened the machines up so bad (not a myth, actual fact they have admitted) that I'm not surprised you didn't hit a 4 OAK in 4000 hands. I used to go to Vegas quite often and I nearly always hit at least a Royal or 4 Aces. No more. The Indian Casinos are the same way.
