Despite the horrific blizzard that blasted the majprity of the east coast last weekend, yours truly escaped much harm because the storm only grazed the part of the region that yours truly resides, and I was able to play some poker at the Mohegan SUn in Connecticut on two different occasions (last night being the most recent ) and I have to tell ya, my live poker skillz are becoming all "WICKED SHARP", or as Sarah Palin would say when she is not throwing John McCain under the bus, "Fab-tastic, Rogue-tastic, Pitt-bullasticly Great!"I managed to win over 3 grand in less than 5 hours grinding it out on the $2-$5 N/L table.    several nights prior I scored a little more than 1800 bucks with about 4 hours of play.   Both times I sat down with 400 of my own dollars and subsequently rolled away from the table with multiple chip racks ...... and the best part is this:  I managed to NOT piss anyone off with my success!As any REAL live poker player here will attest to, one potentially awkward (even dangerous) hazard of success is incurring the wrath of players you manage to beat, especially if you do so with ridiculous LUCK ..... when you get "SICK" luck at the no limit poker table, and start sucking out, winning huge pots with absurdly lucky cards where it originally looked like you were dead meat....well, people tend to HATE THAT!   And if you do it a lot (like say......80% of the time) they will flippin KILL YOU!But because I won using my awesome napoleon dynamite SKILLZ and do so in respectful, spectacular fashion, my vanquished opponents cannot help but respect me instead of hating my guts for taking their lap dance and beer money!Needless to say I am reorienting my Atlantic city visits and such to focus exclusively now on live poker and to hell with even a "limited" recreational video poker activity level.    Pointless in that abyss of machines that operate in ways and manners that are so far outside the norm of statistical.....uh. "norms"......edited to add:   Umm, sorry, this obviously is a (non) Video POKER success story.......my bad......but that's the extent of my contrition.    I WON!!!!!
