i guess i am just amazed that
outside of nevada casinos, where better paytables exist, that VP players
are able to put a $500k through a machine and only lose $5k, over the
last few years. considering the benefits of free hotels, food, etc, that
would be a real value, i/m/o.       I am very lucky to live close to a casino with good pay tables. Most others in the state of Michigan do not have 99% games. One thing I want to ask out there is the four to the SF hits vs four to the royal hits.I went back to the last week of OCT 2015 to now, since that was when I started back max betting. I have had 10 inside SF hits the same odds (1 in47) as hitting a four to the royal. Yet between me, my wife, and my buddy none of us have been able to hit the 1 in 47 royal. We are seeing 4 to the royal most every trip. I see it 1 to 3 times per trip and have made 41 trips so far this year. That's something I can't understand. Ok I will see more 4 to the SF deals then 4 to the royals but I don't see that many more. I am going to track SF more over the next few months. Many of them will be open end I am only talking inside SF. I think hitting10 SF vs 0 RF when 4 to them off the deal seems way offIMO.

We do not plan any significant changes in our video poker play for 2016. We have, however, in the past three to two to three years made such changes.

At one time, both my wife and I had Chairman status at Seneca Niagara, and were combining for around $1.2-$1.3 million coin in per year there. Due to deteriorating benefits of the Chairman level, we now play mostly on her card to achieve just one Chairman. Our combined annual play there has dropped to about $600000-$700000.

Our other major local play was Casino Rama. For many years, we could play multiline 9/6 JOB there for 25c, 50c, or $1, with slot club benefits (cashback and "bonus cash"), that made it a positive game. Our combined coin in there was $1.6 -$1.8 million per year. In mid 2014, they pulled that game. Now, our play there is about $150000 per year. It would be zero but for the fact that we are unwilling to simply abandon our considerable comp balances.

As for 2015 results, we had a good year. My wife was up around $5000, while I was down slightly at about $1500.

We each had total play for the year of around $840000.

my suspicion is that the newer RNGs are designed to play catch
up on premium hands in an extremely short window and the rest of the
time nada.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My strong suspicion also. Use the window. Leave before death by defenestration.

To answer wildman's question, I have been above the norm hitting on normal straight flush draws and deals too. Well behind the norm connecting the elusive Royal after being dealt 4. I am averaging only one chance at a 1 card draw to a Royal about every 5k hands also. Two card draws seem to be coming in bunches and that is where I connect most often on the royal though I am now approaching 200k hands without one. Some sessions I can go an entire session with only 1 or 2 two card draws to a royal. That in itself I find hard to believe. One final very weird thing. My ending hands that end up having 4 cards to the Royal can number as many as 15-25 times in an 8 hour session. That would be about 5k hands as well.

omt, that is a lot of play and i/m/o, outstanding results. it is no wonder you are a staunch defender of VP randomness and casino integrity.   i have played at seneca niagara a number of times. what machines are you playing and are they 99% games?

Unfortunately, I cannot say our results have been this good every year. The previous two were both slightly negative.

At Seneca, our play is almost exclusively 50c, 5 line 8/5 bonus poker, a 99.17% game. Occasionally, my wife plays some $1 single line full pay pick'em (99.95%).

My returns on the bonus poker for the past several years have been 99.98%, 99.21%, 97.85%, 99.88%, 99.20% and 98.10%. This is despite being "under royaled" at a rate of one per about 50000 hands.

We are able to amass the considerable amount of coin in that we do because of our strong preference for multiline play. At Seneca, for example, with both of us playing 50c 5 line, our hourly coin in is about $17000.

Impressive returns ONE, I wish we had better pay tables on Triple play, It's a lot more fun to play then single line.
