I receive offers to Beau Rivage Biloxi, the chartered flight etc and have
thought of trying it out but didn't realize they had horrible pay
tables. I appreciate the warning and will stay away.
Not only are they horrible, but the odds are worse in the high limit room. It's the only casino that I have ever seen where the higher you go the worse they gouge you. On top of that Mississippi has an insane 3% State tax on every hand pay. Yes, they take their money up front and no you can never get it back no matter how much you lose. The Beau Rivage is a great hotel, but you will pay through the the nose for the privilege of gambling there. There are a few casinos in Biloxi where things are a little better. The last time we were there the best VP odds were at the IP. If we ever go back to Biloxi (doubtful), we will stay at the Beau Rivage and gamble somewhere else.

Odds are also worse in Caesars AC high limit room, as I once remarked. They must assume that wealthier people are oblivious to such details and just want entertainment. It's probably a more common set up than we think.

There are no 9/6 machines in the High limit room at Mohegan Sun that I know of. One thing I have learned about most High Rollers who play in these areas all of the time. It makes them feel important and they don't have to associate with the riff raff in the rest of the casino. They love the attention from casino staff and the things that go along with it. The Lounge is just steps away from where they play and they of course are too lazy to walk. Even my 100- a spin friend gets all bent out of shape if he cannot get access to the ultra high roller lounge all of the time. The casino people of course know this and get away with lowering the odds in the High Roller areas accordingly. I only have a BA in Psych and you don't have to be a Rocket Scientist to experience this stuff first hand.

I guess having more money does not necessarily mean you're smarter? You could also conclude they have so much money they don't care or are willing to pay a premium for the exclusivity of the high limit room. It's all confusing to me. There are lots of people that say we're crazy for gambling in the first place. I have to admit I feel that way on occasion myself.

I am aware Mohegan Sun is very large, but I am not sure if you normally play at the Sky section of the casino.
There are reports that the high-limit area of Sky casino has 9/6 machines at $10, $25, $100 denomination.
I would say the $1, 25 coin play is worthy enough to be considered "High Limit".
This player "John R" on Youtube video has won on betting the maximum 25 coins.

It seems that the Beau Rivage has improved recently for those willing to play 9/5 Jacks or Better at $1. Might be very useful game to play to earn hotel comps from there, and play your favorite DW at the IP.
Pardon to be off topic, I am saddened to hear about two high profile homicides that occurred this lone weekend in Orlando. Very shocking to a tourist appealing city.

Tropicana AC had 9/6 dollar JOB. I attempted play today, but the room is being demolished. It was so serene and cozy. Damn management and their eternal tinkering. I found another serene room, but of course 8/5 all levels. I held my nose and played quarters. Five dollar net loss. I celebrated that quad like it was a RF. This casino will take you to the cleaners in short order.

Alpax, I enjoyed the video. Who wouldn't with this hit? It makes me feel better about throwing away a flush today to pursue a four card RF opportunity. He said that is what he did. Six birds in the hand were not worth a thousand in the bush for me.

The ultimate Anything and Everything thread, of course. Hate to insist.
