Re: My Journey on Video Poker
As a quick side note, players shouldn't worry about any one session but
many sessions to compare results. So it's not the wins/losses of a few
sessions but how people handle it that counts. Unfortunately at some
point we have to measure how the business is doing. I like to keep track
month to month, personal preference. The important thing is don't base
how you are doing on one or a few sessions. Cheers.
This whole thing about session results vs. long term results is really about personal attitude. I concede that losing doesn't bother some gamblers because they are mentally committed to a single long term plan of action and what happens on a daily basis is just part of the game.I enjoy treating each session like a mini challenge. My goal on a day's trip is to come home with the same amount I left with. That doesn't always happen but it gives me a reason to leave and go home. If I didn't have that goal, I know I would stay until all my money is gone. I have a spreadsheet on my computer where I log my daily wins and losses. The most important thing to me is the long term effect on my bankroll. Losing trip after trip makes it go down. Hoping that I will win big some day and catch back up is not a plan that works for me.

Those were some nice hits today, DAANMAAN. Wish it was like that everyday. Heading to my local for a Thursday overnight. Hoping for the royal or aces on Super Aces.

Grrrr...Super Aces, another heaven hell game...the evil ying to deuces yang. Similiar in the sense that there are two jackpot hits: aces (and Royal) for super aces, deuces (and Royal) for deuces wild. The big differential is with variance which super aces has plenty of...super aces has a ton of that!
Having said that, I've had sessions when I wished I was playing super aces. Sessions when I wish I was playing deuces.
The point of all this? May your aces be fruitful and multiply with super aces, and your deuces be dropped many times in deuces wild.
Cheers

Only enough time for a quickly tonight. Decided to go back to the 10/6 DDB quarter game for some variety. Of course hit a quad deuce (no kicker), a quad 8, and a quad K. Called it a night after about 40 minutes up +$150.
Feeling tired, started running and trying to lose some weight fast for health and insurance reasons. Hope I get over the hump and feeling better. Logging some Wins on vp certainly helping:)

The best way to lose weight is to exercise by pushing away from the table.

I would add to that some quick 8 yard sprints from the couch to the fridge and back again
that and pushing away from the table should lose that necessary 100-200 calories lol
Cheers

Very long and drawn out battle with 10/6 DDB single line quarters tonight. Somewhere between 5-6k hands, lot's of missed opportunities. -$195 and could of been worse but hit enough quads to stay in the game. Was in an upswing with a quad and a straight flush when the progressive link went down and 10 min later still not up again and just cashed out and called it a night.
Cheers

Losing half the bankroll always better than losing all! I've resisted ATMs and only incurred minor losses yesterday and today.

Played another 10/6 DDB .25 single
Line session tonight. Decided not making a marathon session out of it due to feeling a bit of the "burn-out" from last session. Thanks to quad 3's with kicker and a few other quads, cashed it in up +$200. About an hour or slightly less of play. However, feeling hungry for the big ones (quad aces with kicker or Royal)...but know hard work needs to take place for it.
Cheers and on to the next
