Great info, but one important point is that despite player skill and paytables - IT IS STILL GAMBLING. Large daily, even yearly, losses are a very real possibility. I am not directing this statement to the OP.

Dan, despite the good games you play, it seems like you are still running way above expectation. May your good luck continue.

Just remember Dan: "A wise guy always carries his roll with the beaners on the outside."

PPP, I assume the yellow flag was directed at me. Point taken. I'm not getting into a good money after bad session ever again. Dan is really soaring over the mean result. He must get on a lot of busy LV machines with hot cycles at the ready.

**October month in review***
the positive variance of September fortunately rolled into October. Experienced a positive result of +$2,457. Consistent month of plus sessions with only a few minuses. Thanks to a few more Aces with kicker then I should of hit on DDB and a fpdw session of Royal and quad deuces, really put this month ahead. No huge hits of $2k or
More, but did not veer away from quarter play that much. One time that I did had a variant roller coaster ride that almost took about $600 but got fortunate with a few hits and went positive. Could of easily gone the other way. Such is vp.
I did not steer into more of the carnival vp games like I thought I would do this month (super times pay, ultimate X, wheel poker, etc), but did play a session of 5 play.
So, will have to give this month an A grade. Most of the sessions just seemed to have worked out. That's the good news. The bad news is there is a lot of room to go downwards, not
Much to go upwards. Just have to keep up the grind and see what develops for November.
Ps as a side note, % of sessions of fpdw I play in hitting the deuce is high, probably 8 or 9 out of 10. Reason is I play the game at about 1400 hands an hour and those deuces should come around every 3 hours or so. Hopefully sooner rather than later ;)
PSS I attribute the last two month positive run to several factors that all carry weight: good pay tables, knowledge/skill, appropriate bankroll, a bit of luck, and sacrifices to the vp gods :)
So on to the next. Hit lots of quads and may November be a positive for everybody no matter what you play or how.
Cheers

Strange but good start for November
Started tonight in my usual 10/6 DDB game. Hit a straight flush but no quads for about 750 hands. Then a quad 5, then about 10 min later hit AAAA2. I guess if one is to hit few quads, make one aces with kicker. Was up +$422 after that hand but played down to +$300 and cashed out. Then felt playing some triple play .25c ugly deuces and make some points. Told myself I would stop if I dropped down to even. Well...I dropped down to even and didn't stop. Played that sucker
For over 3 frickin hours, about 2700 spins or 8100 hands and not a single quad deuce.
So stubborn sometimes I can be, told myself I'll just play till quad deuce or busto. If anything, would make a great blog on what NOT to do.
Fortunately, never happened as I caught a royal flush on the top line saving 3 spade to a Royal. And click, just like that, went from a $600 downswing from the aces hit to a $400 upswing from the aces hit and left the casino up +$845.
Just one of those crazy nights with a happy ending.
Cheers and on to the next!

I saw this when I was playing single coin CS.  I played at least a 1,000 hands an hour and like you would hit one or more at least 80% of the days.  Playing single coin quarters 90% of the time, I played thousands of hands more than the average player giving me more chances at a max coin jackpot.  Those great pay tables are keeping you in the game.  Also you're not jumping around playing "carnival games" (love your description), you're sticking to traditional games and playing smart.  Keep up the good work. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about moving to Vegas, but it's not in the cards for me.  I'm pretty sure I would end up panhandling if I did...

You played last night after midnight? In any event, you're on a great run.

From your postings, it's clear that you "have your head on right", so you're mentally prepared for a bad streak, if one comes along (and, they always seem to do so).

That DDB game looks like 10/6, not 10/7.

That DDB game looks like 10/6, not 10/7.Was a typo, I meant 10/6 DDB...I can only wish it was a 10/7 DDB...a game that would be around 101.4% ER? If you come across a 10/7 DDB game, by all means, let me know, k? lolCheers
