Was almost going to play fpdw but at least for this session glad I changed my mind.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Very lucky. Must do a JOB to the quad followed by a FPDW next time. Looks like you can really hang in there most of the time with that mini jackpot on the board!

Tonight was fun night. Just took some of the money I won and played some variety. Started with 8/5 $1 BP, left even. Went to .25c loose deuce, down a hundred then went to .50c nsud and won back the hundred. Finally went to 7/5 BP 5 play wheel poker and caught some quads and won $305. So ended up +$305 on a usual donkey type of night...on to the next.
Cheers

VP gods take some back. Bad session of .25c 10/6 DDB. I think the quads were turned off on the machine. Almost 4K hands and hit two quads. -$400. For good measure dropped another $300 out the door on $1 BP. Hit a straight flush on it towards the end but too little too late. So -$700 and on to the next.
Cheers

Everything was going so well. Apparently you can only lose by playing DDB.

These bad DDB sessions will happen guaranteed and a player who plays DDB should be prepared for it or move to JOB or something. That's the deal with the devil for the extra jackpot hits on DDB, or any high volatile game for that matter.
My main concern is many sessions, not just one. If I win 900 on one session and lose 700 on the next, the math works for me. But multiple losers did, can, and will necessitate changes in strategy and play.
But it's like the old saying, when u fall off the horse, just have to get right back on.
BTW, my opinion is that if posters only talk about the wins and not the losses...or vice versa, they are doing the audience a disservice. I will be honest in both my wins, losses, smart and dumb plays, because it's the whole truth. In addition, we can learn a lot more from failures and losses for sure.
Regardless, I think to play VP, we must believe it will happen. Have faith. Otherwise, why take the beatings to get to the prizes? Many cannot, some can. If a guy comes up to me and says he wants to play serious VP, my first question should be, how strong is your stomache?

Prophetic post as I log the biggest loss of the month so far, -$860. Started with 10/6 DDB and just was a repeat of the last session. I did hit thru the session 4 quad jacks, but that doesn't cut it. Decided to try to go big or go home out the door, went home with $2 BP. Hit a few hands and was up $300 at one point, but then went down to bust.
Time to lick the wounds and decide how I want to proceed.
Cheers

VP gods have turned against me. .25c fpdw, -$435. Almost matches my biggest fpdw loss ever which was $450. Doesn't make me feel any better. Time to take a break from the losses.

I can barely sustain a third of that $435 loss. Epic beatings. Take some time off!

This is what is known as a "downswing" and is unfortunate and overdue. Had a great last two months and the beginning of this one was good too.
But nature. like VP, has a way of balancing things out. -$785 today, played .50c nsud and .25c triple play DDB.
This brings this months total to -$1,050. If last two months are included, still way up...but I like to tally month by month.
Regardless, downswings are not fun but like I said earlier, we can't get too excited by the wins nor the losses, just tally up the long term grind and make adjustments.
So I'm not stopping, just making some adjustments, one is to not increase denomination until I'm out of the downswing.
At any rate, have a great thanksgiving and holidays peeps and don't worry, there is never losses without wins and vice versa, even though sometimes it may feel that way.
Cheers!
